Summary
Operates advanced or more sophisticated equipment and machinery in head press shops to produce railcar parts and sub-assemblies, operates machinery to move railcar parts and sub-assemblies, operates forklift and overhead cranes to move material.

With the exception of clerical, administrative, and some management positions, the physical environment requires the employee to work in hot and cold environments, in and out of the weather, work safely around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks. Employees are required to use personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, welding and grinding shields, etc. or as environmental conditions dictate.
