Summary

The Logistics Coordinator assists the logistics team with railcar movements and internal system updates. This position also encompasses freight invoice audits, data entry, and report analyzation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Supports railcar track & trace functions
  • Provides support to logistics team and interacts with other departments to assist as needed
  • Manages daily rail invoices
  • Inspects documentation for deficiencies and approves/disputes invoices for payment
  • Handles transactional car movement and dispositions upon request 
  • Acts as liaison between project managers, shops, railroads, and customers for timely railcar movement
  • Proactively identifies billing problems and swiftly implements the appropriate solution
  • Updates TMS systems with accurate data
  • Maintains a high-quality of customer service communication
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal processes and systems
  • Provides written status reports to management and customers as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent Customer Service work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels (of the organization
  • Ability to receive and interpret information and communicate it accordingly
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

The majority of time in this position will be in an office environment in our Lake Oswego, Oregon office. Occasionally required to be in a plant or shop environment, which will require the use of PPE equipment as environmental conditions dictate.
