Summary

The Operator 1 Stamp Shop position is responsible for the production and processing of high quality walkboards and components, while maintaining safety regulations and requirements. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Uses rivet devices to rivet end channels onto walk boards
  • Grinds and paints walk board ends
  • Shears and forms walk boards
  • Stamps out walk board blanks
  • Performs production checks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience in manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

  • Production environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, moving machinery and trip hazards where personal protective equipment such as head, eye, hearing, and foot protection are required as well as protective gloves.  Additional PPE may be required as determined by the environment.
  • Employee may be required to perform work at heights above four feet or within confined spaces.
  • Some work areas may require the use of a respirator while working.  Employees working in these areas must be able to pass a respirator fit test and be clean-shaven while wearing a respirator.
