Summary
The Senior Manager of accounting reports to the VP of accounting and corporate Controller and is a member of the finance leadership team. This key position is responsible for leading and managing a finance function and supporting an effective internal and external financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced finance professional with management experience, relevant financial and accounting experience, and expertise to join Greenbrier’s dynamic team.
This role requires an individual who can develop and lead accounting and reporting teams and implement and oversee efficient and effective finance and business processes, as well as build functional cross-functional, collaborative relationships and working groups to partner with key stakeholders such as the global accounting teams, operations, FP&A, Legal, HR, and other departments across functions and business teams initiatives to execute on enterprise-wide initiatives successfully. They will demonstrate integrity, credibility, dedication, and character with high moral and ethical behavior.
The successful candidate will have the ability to balance technical acumen and governance of accounting and reporting, and financial analysis know how, with the Company’s transformational, change management vision.
